App development · Minneapolis–St. Paul

Custom app development for Twin Cities businesses.

We find the solution. If it doesn’t exist, we build it. UNFLD AI builds web apps, mobile apps and internal tools for businesses in Minneapolis, Saint Paul and across the Twin Cities. We start with a clickable prototype of your actual app, so you can tap through it on your own phone before deciding what to build.

What can an app do for your business?

Most businesses don't need an app for the sake of having one. They need a job done faster: a customer who can book without calling, a crew that can see today's schedule, an owner who can see the numbers without opening five spreadsheets.

Start with what you already pay for

Before building anything, we look at the tools and subscriptions you already have. Often AI can replace or combine some of them, and that’s faster and cheaper than custom software. We only build when nothing out there fits. Get a free tool and subscription review.

How a build works

  1. Map the job. We walk through the task the app replaces: who does it today, what slows them down and what "done" looks like.
  2. Tap through a prototype. You get a clickable version on your own phone and computer. Change the flow while changes are still cheap.
  3. Build in stages. The first release does the core job well. Extra features come after real people have used it, not before.
  4. Launch and keep it running. Hosting, updates, fixes and app-store submission (for mobile apps) are agreed up front, including who handles what after launch.

What we agree on before writing code

Scope, price, timeline, who owns the code and the data, where the app is hosted and what ongoing support costs are all written down before the build starts. If a feature isn't in the agreed scope, it's quoted separately rather than slipped in.

Questions before starting

Do I need a web app or a mobile app?

If your customers or team mainly need to log in, fill something in or check information, a web app that works well on phones is usually faster and cheaper to build and maintain. A store-listed mobile app makes sense when you need things like push notifications, offline use, the camera or location in the background.

What does an app cost?

It depends on what the app has to do. The prototype is how we get to a real number: once the screens and flows are agreed, the build can be quoted precisely instead of guessed.

Can it work with the software we already use?

Often, yes. Most booking, CRM, payment and accounting tools offer a way to connect. We confirm what's possible for your tools during the mapping step.
