SEO and AI search visibility audits for Minneapolis–St. Paul businesses.

UNFLD AI reviews the technical and content foundations behind a business's search visibility. For Minneapolis–St. Paul businesses, that means checking whether important pages can be discovered, whether services and locations are clear, and how the business appears in a defined sample of search and AI answers.

What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?

SEO improves a website's discoverability and usefulness in search. Generative engine optimization, often called GEO or AI SEO, focuses on how a business is represented in AI-generated answers. The work overlaps: crawlable pages, clear facts and useful explanations matter in both.

Google's guidance for AI Overviews and AI Mode says existing SEO best practices apply, without special AI markup requirements. A diagnostic score is not a probability that a business will rank or be cited.

What an audit checks

  1. Discovery and indexing. Response status, robots directives, canonical URLs, sitemap consistency and internal links. With authorized Search Console access, compare the live site with Google's reported indexing state.
  2. Business identity. Whether the name, official domain, services and genuine service area are consistent and visible—not buried only in images or scripts.
  3. Query coverage. Whether each relevant customer question has a useful page. Distinguish measured Search Console queries from proposed topics that still need demand validation.
  4. AI-answer evidence. Record the exact prompt, platform, date, answer and cited sources. Repeat a consistent sample instead of treating one favorable answer as permanent visibility.
  5. Measurement. Record the baseline and prioritize changes that can be tested. Track impressions, clicks and genuine inquiries where analytics access and event validation are available.

From findings to a practical plan

Technical errors that prevent discovery come first. Next are unclear service explanations, missing page relationships and unsupported or inconsistent claims. The output is a prioritized list: evidence, proposed change, verification method and the metric to watch.

Implementation scope is agreed separately. A site needing a broader rebuild may benefit from our custom website design approach; other sites may need focused improvements to existing pages.

What an audit cannot promise

Can you guarantee first place or an AI citation?

No. Search engines and AI platforms control crawling, indexing, ranking and citations. We can improve controllable foundations and report measured changes, not guarantee a placement.

How soon should results appear?

A technical change can be live immediately after deployment, but search processing happens separately. Google's guidance notes that recrawling may take days to months. Progress should be reviewed over consistent reporting windows.

Does appearing in an AI answer prove the work is complete?

No. Answers vary by wording, platform, location and time. A useful report separates observed mentions from linked citations and records misses as well as successes.
